An editable proposal template, a pricing calculator, a scope-change form, a quote-to-invoice checklist and seven email scripts. It covers the step before the invoice, in one download.
What it helps you do
• Lay out a proposal clearly: the client's goals, your approach, scope, timeline, payment schedule, what's out of scope, and a plain acceptance line.
• Offer three options side by side: Essentials, Standard and Extended. Each differs in scope, revisions, speed or support, so the client compares like with like.
• Do the arithmetic in one place: hours × rate, an optional buffer, expenses, rounding, retainers and the effective hourly rate of each option, all from numbers you enter.
• Agree changes before you start them: a one-page scope-change form that works out the cost and new target date.
• Carry the agreed price into your invoice: a "Copy to invoice" tab lists the accepted option as Description, Qty / hours, Rate and Amount.
It's a set of templates and a calculator. It doesn't tell you what to charge, and it isn't a contract.

Proposal sample (.pdf): 4 pages: the same template filled in with labelled "Example:" text, so you can see a finished layout. Read-only.
Pricing calculator (.xlsx): Tabs: Start here, Project estimate, Three options, Retainer, Currency display (uses a rate you enter, not live rates), Copy to invoice, How to use.
Scope-change form (.xlsx): One printable page with cost and timeline arithmetic.
Quote-to-invoice checklist (.pdf): One page of tick boxes, from "before you send" to "before you invoice".
Email scripts (.docx): Seven short templates: send the proposal, two follow-ups, a reply to a price question, next steps after acceptance, a scope-change request, and a polite decline.
How-to guide (.pdf): Two to three pages: how the files fit together, step by step.
All files come in one .zip. Each file shows its version and date. Placeholders are in [square brackets] and sample text is labelled "Example:", so it's easy to see what to replace.

Who it's for
• Freelancers and solopreneurs who quote projects or retainers and want one consistent way to write proposals and price them.
• People who already send invoices and want the quote and the invoice to match line for line.
• Anyone billing in rupees, dollars or another currency: you set the currency code, and it shows next to every amount.
Who it's not for
• If you need a legal contract or terms of business: this kit has a terms summary placeholder only. Have a lawyer draft or review your terms.
• If you want advice on what to charge: the calculator only does arithmetic on your own numbers.
• If you need GST, VAT or other tax-specific invoice fields or tax guidance: the kit has none. Not tax advice; check with a CA (or a qualified tax adviser where you live).
• If you want proposal software with e-signatures, tracking or a client portal: these are files you edit and send yourself.

Our free invoice template is a separate download: one editable .xlsx with a "How to use" tab. The kit's "Copy to invoice" tab uses the same four line-item columns, but the kit works with any invoice.

Questions
Is this a contract?
No. The proposal has a plain acceptance line and a placeholder for your own terms summary. For contract terms, have a lawyer draft or review them.
Will it tell me what to charge?
No. You enter your hours, rates, buffer and expenses. The calculator adds them up, rounds them, compares the three options and shows the effective hourly rate.
Does it handle GST or other taxes?
There are no tax-specific fields. You can add a generic, optional tax line if it applies to you. Not tax advice; check with a CA (or a qualified tax adviser where you live).
Which currencies does it work with?
Any. You choose a currency code and it appears next to every amount. The currency tab converts only at an exchange rate you type in, so treat those figures as indicative.
Can I use it for client work?
